Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of the pedagogical discourse on clarifying the status of the concepts "musical-aesthetic education", "art-aesthetic education". The importance of using the potential of music specifically in the patriotic education of the younger generation and the significant pedagogical losses in this regard were noted; the problematic nature of this perspective in the context of research, in particular, by domestic scientists as well as researchers of the People's Republic of China was proved. Attention is focused on some features of patriotic education through the means of musical art in the People's Republic of China. Such a level of deepening of scientific ideas about the full use of resources for the development of the artistic, aesthetic and spiritual spheres of the individual, on the one hand, and the priority of patriotic education of pupil youth, through the means of musical art, on the other hand, open up prospects for further creative use by Ukrainian specialists of the ideas laid down in this regard in the educational the practice of the P.R.C.
