Summary/Abstract: The article discusses materials collected between 1945 and 1982 in the private archive of the distinguished mathematician Karol Borsuk (1905–1982) and presents an overview of his life and work. Despite the private origin of the collection, most of the materials are related to his professional activities. The article describes the criteria used to organize and classify the documents. Special attention is given to Borsuk’s correspondence with selected international mathematicians as well as with his doctoral students. The article aims to facilitate detailed research into Borsuk’s scientific work and his connections to the global mathematical community.
