Summary/Abstract: This paper examines two consequences of determinism being true. First, I revisit – though in a revised form – the argument that if determinism is true, then knowledge, as it is typically understood, is impossible, and we cannot know the truth of determinism itself. I then develop a second consequence arising from this peculiar epistemic position: namely, that we are left with a contrary alternative to opt for.
