Summary/Abstract: The study examined the influence of workplace spirituality on human resource management practices with a focus on recruitment and selection practices. The components of workplace spirituality were identified to include a sense of community, meaningful work, inner life, and alignment of values. The study used a questionnaire as the research instrument to elicit responses from 238 respondents and a multi-sampling technique was involved to choose the sample and ample size. It was found that there exists a strong relationship between workplace spirituality and human resource management practices with a focus on recruitment and selection practices and the findings also show that all the components of workplace spirituality have a positive relationship with recruitment and selection practices. It was concluded that workplace spirituality has an influence on human resource management practices, especially recruitment and selection practices, and thus recommends the use of interviews as a selection tool to understand individual values for alignment with the organizational values.
