Summary/Abstract: Artificial intelligence is an emerging technology that is having a profound impact on all levels of societal activity, including educational activity. The article presents a study of students from St. Petersburg University. It reflects opinions and attitudes related to creativity and critical thinking. The study found no consensus on the impact of AI technologies on personal skills and the assumption that they cannot completely replace humans, especially in the areas of emotional intelligence and logical thinking, at least up to this point. Generative artificial models can produce creative content to support the learning process, but there is a balance to be struck in their use.
