Summary/Abstract: The article shows the results of a survey of Russian-speaking Bulgarian learners. Most of these people are not university students. The data allows us to draw a portrait of a Russian-speaking Bulgarian learner and to understand how these people perceive the learning process and the language itself. What do they find difficult, pleasant, interesting, important? How do they see their strong sides and challenges as Russian native speakers?
