Summary/Abstract: An aim of this text is to analyze practices of play, used in several popular Bulgarian educational online platforms. The central question is what concepts about teaching and learning are expressed and generated by the gamification of educational content. My intention is to suggest a critical point of view towards the gamification and try to outline the potential educational benefits of it as well as the potential dangers and challenges that it creates.
