Summary/Abstract: The research topic discussed in this article is memory politics and historical politics in international relations, within which the role of the anniversary celebrations of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau in Polish-Israeli relations during the United Right’s rule from 2016 to 2023 is analysed. The article analyses the annual event of the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, with particular emphasis on the statements made by politicians present at the event and the topics they raised. By examining the celebrations of the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the authors attempt to answer the question of whether the shared and difficult legacy of the memory of the Holocaust brings Poland and Israel closer together or drives them apart.
