Summary/Abstract: The digitalization of agribusiness is a process that significantly changes the way agricultural enterprises work and manage. Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into agribusiness management presents both opportunities and challenges, particularly for middle management. AI technologies can improve decision-making processes, operational efficiency, and support sustainable agribusiness practices. However, they also pose potential threats to job security and traditional management. The aim of this study is to analyse the role of AI in the implementation of Management Information Systems in agribusiness and assess its impact on „middle management.“ This study seeks to identify both the potential benefits and challenges associated with the use of artificial, and to propose strategies for effectively integrating these technologies into management processes. However, the question arises whether AI is a helper or a threat to „middle management, the middle management layer that traditionally performs important functions in organizations.
