Summary/Abstract: In public administration, strategic management is one of the administrative approaches that has been widely discussed in recent years and is aimed at being successfully implemented. Strategic management, which is effective in meeting social needs in an efficient and effective manner in line with defined objectives, aims to help public institutions achieve their goals. From a public administration perspective, strategic management is a necessity when considering changing environmental conditions and diversifying citizen expectations. The successful implementation of the strategic management process is closely related to the resolution of issues arising in public administration. Problem management is effective in resolving the problems experienced by public administration and in the successful functioning of the strategic management process. Problem management, which operates with the aim of identifying and resolving problems that arise or are likely to arise in institutional life in advance, is effective in resolving problems that arise or are likely to arise in the strategic management process. In this study, strategic management in public administration was evaluated specifically in terms of problem management. In this context, problem management and strategic management in public administration were first explained in the study. In the continuation of the study, the contributions of problem management to the strategic management process were revealed based on the relationship between problem management and strategic management.
