Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this report is to examine some aspects of the role and the importance of the institutions in the field of art. Here are presented and analyzed a few fundamental theories, which are focused on the meaning of the cultural institutions. Also are underlined institutional practices of the public and private institutions in the current situation. The attention is pointed as well on the processes that accompany the socialization of an art work and especially the realization of an author in our time.
