Famous vocal performers and their role in the development of Pazardzhik singing folklore

Summary/Abstract: This report presents the main aspects of known and previously unknown tracing and with completely new fragments of the performing vocal arts of the Pazardzhik folklore region. Its development is observed from the beginning of the 20th century and into the 20’s of the 21st century. Information is given about the differences of the Pazardjik-Intiman sub region as part of the large Thracian folklore region of Bulgaria. It also describes the first ethnomusicologists, who verify the specifics of folk music and are thus explained. The most prominent vocal performers of Pazardzhik and their significant peculiarities represent significant contributions to professional creativity and are presented with descriptions.
