Changes in the structure of state aid after Poland’s accession to the European Union

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a definition and specific characteristics of the state aid: state resources, economic advantage, selectivity, the distortion of competition and the affect on trade between Member States. Moreover, the article presents the structure of the state aid in Poland taking into account the method of financing, types of state aid and its beneficiaries. The article includes a hypothesis that Poland’s accession to the European Union had a significant impact on the structure of the state aid in Poland.
