Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the concept of virtual museums in the contemporary digital space. It discusses previous definitions and classifications of virtual museums and provides a brief typology along with selected examples. The typological case studies include: the Museum of Other Realities, the PODO Museum, and the Artsteps application.
