First national folk festival „Esekiyska pletenitsa“ in Brodilovo village

Summary/Abstract: This study presents the first edition of the National Folklore Festival „Eseykijska pletenia“ in Brodilovo village, Tsarevo municipality. The development is based on field data, documentary sources, and contemporary theoretical frameworks related to musical folklore and cultural transformations that occur in the stage adaptations of folklore. The focus is on the ethnographic description of the organization, program, and cultural significance of the event as a forum for presenting and promoting traditions and cultural heritage in contemporary conditions.
