Summary/Abstract: The investigation of violent deaths represents one of the most complex areas of forensic science, requiring close collaboration between the forensic investigator and the forensic pathologist. Each discipline contributes complementary expertise, the criminalist focuses on the reconstruction of the crime scene, the collection and interpretation of traces, and the identification of the mechanism of action, while the forensic pathologist provides medical insight into the cause and manner of death. This interdisciplinary cooperation allows for the accurate correlation between external findings, such as bloodstain patterns, weapon traces, or position of the body and internal autopsy results, including wound trajectories, tissue damage, and physiological mechanisms of death. The study highlights the methodological importance of synchronizing investigative and medico-legal activities from the earliest stages of the inquiry, emphasizing how joint analysis of biological, physical, and chemical traces can reveal the sequence of events leading to death. By integrating field investigation with laboratory examination, the collaboration between the forensic investigator and the forensic pathologist ensures a complete and scientifically supported interpretation of violent deaths, reducing the risk of judicial error and strengthening the evidentiary value of conclusions.
