Collaborative robots and their protection as industrial property objects

Summary/Abstract: The subject matter of this article are collaborative robots and their protection as objects of industrial property. The nature and the fields of application of collaborative robots are identified. The different industrial property objects such as invention, utility model and industrial design through which protection is granted to collaborative robots are analyzed. The national and international companies creating collaborative robots are discussed. The filed applications for inventions and patents granted in the field of collaborative robots in a national and international aspect are identified, with conclusions and recommendations for applicant activity in the study area. Examples of patented inventions, registered utility models and industrial designs for collaborative robots under national and European law are given.
