Summary/Abstract: This article examines the problems of economic policy during the two governments of Andrey Lukanov – February-December 1990. The purpose of the study is to outline the results of the changes carried out in the country’s economic policy as a result of the implementation of Decree 56 on economic activity, amendments to the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria and other regulatory acts related to the development of the national economy. The methodology is related to the use of analysis of economic processes in the country in a historical aspect
