Summary/Abstract: Background/purpose. This study aimed to know the degree of scientific research contribution in achieving sustainable development from the faculty members' perspectives in Jordanian universities. The study sample consisted of 458 faculty members from Jordanian universities who were selected using the convenience sampling method. Material/Method. The descriptive analytical approach was employed in the research due to its relevance to the objectives of the current study. To achieve the study objectives, a survey was developed consisting in its final form of 31 items. Results. The findings revealed that faculty members perceived the contribution of scientific research to sustainable development as moderate. Additionally, the results indicated no statistically significant differences in respondents' assessments based on gender or faculty. Conclusion. Increasing university support for scientific research related to sustainable development, and strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and the public and private sectors in the country. Furthermore, developing training programs for faculty members can enhance research productivity and align it with development goals.
