Summary/Abstract: This research examines a segment of Hungarian national policy. After 2010, the Government of Hungary paid increased attention not only to Hungarians living in the neighboring countries, but also to those living in the diaspora. As a result, the Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Program, aimed at diaspora communities, was launched in 2013. The goal of the scholarships awarded under this program is for the scholarship holder to assist the diaspora community in its preservation and for their work to contribute to the strengthening of the institutional system of Hungarian communities abroad. My research aims to present the experiences gained by the scholarship holders of the Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Program in the various diaspora communities during the nine-month program period abroad. I seek to find answers to this through interviews conducted with the scholarship holders, exploring all the difficulties and joys they had to face during their time abroad.
