“The Road to NATO” and the History of the Polish Armed Forces in the 1990s: A Literature Review Twenty-Five Years after Accession

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present an overview of the existing literature on the Polish Armed Forces in the 1990s, as well as on the so-called “Polish road to NATO”, with emphasis on the transformation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and their adaptation to alliance standards. By highlighting the most significant publications, both scholarly studies and source materials, the article outlines the general trends in current research and identifies potential perspectives for further historical analysis.
