Summary/Abstract: The text presents a first-hand account of an electoral observation mission conducted by Organisation internationale de la Francophonie during the October 2022 general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, within a particularly complex institutional framework stemming from the Dayton Agreements. It highlights the overall regularity of the electoral process while underscoring persistent shortcomings related to corruption, electoral irregularities, and the underrepresentation of women. The analysis emphasizes the centrality of ethno-nationalist logics in political competition and the tensions surrounding the representation of constituent peoples and minorities.
