Summary/Abstract: The study is based upon the early 15th-century tiled stove of the bishop's castle at Szászvár—which was earlier reconstructed by Tibor Sabján—and from this point of view, introduces the tile manufacturing, the workshop, and the customer range of an unknown region, South-Transdanubia. This allows for an insight into the formation of Hungarian stove production and its distribution. In addition, the found materials provide introspection into the visual world and way of thinking of the given period.
