Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on the barriers that prevent adults with mild intellectual disabilities from using information and communication technologies. The aim of the research was not only to identify these barriers, but also to describe the actual use of ICT in everyday life. The research, conducted through a questionnaire survey with a sample of 109 respondents, showed that although most people with MID use smartphones and some forms of ICT for leisure activities (e.g. watchingvideos, social networking), the use of more complex digital services (e.g. email, online shopping,e-banking) is significantly limited. The main barriers include low levels of digital competence, limited access to equipment and low awareness of support options. The results underline the need for targeted interventions, including accessible training and support for users, as well as the need to take into account the specific needs of this group when designing digital services. The research provides practical recommendations for inclusive practice and the design of digitally accessible environments.
