Summary/Abstract: The aim of introducing the legal concept of state reliability was to protect key enterprises forthe defence of the state from persons engaged in subversive activities. However, the reason fordesignating a person as statewide unreliable could not be because of affiliation with a particularlanguage, religion or race. Those persons deemed to be statewide unreliable were those for whomthere was reasonable assurance that they would misuse their position against the interests of thedefense of the state. The law had already caused tensions and controversy during its passage overthis legal concept, which was also used in the political fight. Meanwhile, state reliability and itssecurity aspects are also closely linked to political corruption. The contribution deals with boththe analysis of the intentions with which this instrument was implemented and the specific casesinvestigated, where often the transnational perspective of the accented threat of neighboringNazi Germany is also present.
