Summary/Abstract: This study examines the evolution of tourism education and its key role in bridging the gap between academic preparation and professional practice. The analysis includes a review of international trends in tourism development and innovations in the educational environment. By evaluating contemporary teaching methods and active learning approaches, as well as the engagement of external stakeholders, the research establishes that this comprehensive approach is crucial for building a more reliable workforce for the sector. The study concludes that modern tourism education depends on the continuous adaptation of curricula, learning environment, and methodology to the dynamic global market. This research is based on a monograph by Nadezhda Kostadinova, adapting its content for an international audience, given its relevance.
