Summary/Abstract: The article reviews Przemysław Czapliński’s book Rozbieżne emancypacje. Przewodnik poprozie 1976–2020 (Divergent Emancipations: A Guide to Prose 1976–2020; WydawnictwoLiterackie, Krakow 2024). The author argues with Czapliński’s thesis on the origin of the“equality turn,” tracing it not to the “crisis of the folk turn” but rather to intersectionalfeminism and inclusive queer studies.
