A Word with Multiple "Values" in Today's Romanian Language: The Word ”And”

Summary/Abstract: Our goal is to present the lexico-grammatical interpretation for the word „şi” (and). We shall start with highlighting certain morphematic and semantico syntactic values specific to particular given contexts, as a single word, but also in the structure of certain phrase structures. The syntactic interpretations are described according to the current scientific requirements specific to the latest edition of the Romanian Language Grammar. Through this analysis, we want to emphasize the dynamics of this word related both to grammar and to the process of cultivating our language.
