Summary/Abstract: Information and data about the religious traditions of the Achaemenids of Persian origin, who dominated a wide geography, are limited. According to some researchers, it is assumed that the Achaemenids belonged to the ancient Iranian religious tradition, and according to others, they are Zoroastrians. Achaemenid/Persian inscriptions are one of the main Iranian sources that provide data about the religious traditions of the Achaemenids. The inscriptions contain various expressions, figures and symbols related to the religious beliefs and traditions of the period. However, there is no information about the sacred texts, prayers, rituals, religious institutions and religious understanding of the Achaemenids. ''Auramazda'', ''Anahata'', ''Mithra'', ''arta'', ''baga'', ''daiva'', ''drauga'', ''haoma'' mentioned in these texts religious names, concepts and words such as "magush" and "yad" are found in the ancient Iranian religious tradition and Zoroastrianism alike. Their content, function and purpose are similar to Avesta, the holy book of Zoroastrianism. The figures, motifs and symbols in the Achaemenid reliefs also overlap with the Zoroastrian tradition in terms of meaning and function. Sun, fire, bull, fereveher etc. there are common religious and cultural elements. The information given in historical sources about the Achaemenids also confirms this. As a result of the comparison of religious concepts and symbols in the inscriptions and the Avesta, it seems highly probable that the religious tradition of the Achaemenids and Zoroastrianism were similar and intertwined over time.
