Summary/Abstract: This article examines the phonetic features of youth speech in the context of digital communication, with a focus on video content published on online platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. The analysis targets authentic speech practices of young people aged between 15 and 22, presented in two main communication formats – interview and monologue. Using methods such as observation, transcription, and analysis, the study examines phenomena such as rising and falling intonation, speech tempo and rhythm, the presence and types of pauses, occurrences of elision, as well as the frequency of use of foreign words, slang, and verbalized digital elements. The research offers an interpretive framework for understanding these processes as manifestations of language adaptation to new communication conditions and as a potential source of change in the norms of spoken language.
