Summary/Abstract: Modern society is continuously changing, being influenced by technological evolution and its implications for people. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the way in which B.C.U. ”Carol I” is adapting to the constant process of digitalisation, by using technology in order to accomplish: Informational Literacy, National Patrimony Conservation, Supporting the Educational Process and Scientific Research. All of these processes are emphasized by the digital platform Restitutio, which was launched in 2023 and is currently comprised of 7000 digital objects. Restitutio application is standardized, bilingual. It has three different search-keys, respectively, People, Collections and Digital Objects. The first one can be used to identify the authors of the digital objects. The second one includes nine digital collections which are continuously evolving. The final search-key facilitates the digital object’s identification using multiple criteria. The purpose of this presentation is to accustom future users with the site’s structure, search-keys and especially with the typology of the nine digital collections which gather documents from different domains: the collection Current Romanian and foreign books, the collections ”Boabe de grâu” and ”Cultura” which alongside the collection Magazines gather serial publications. There are also the collections of Manuscripts and Correspondence, Old, Rare and Bibliophile Books and Documents from the BCU "Carol I" historical archive, Our Press, Magazines and Zeflemeaua. These include multiple types of digital objects which originate in past times, representing an ample source of information for researchers. Lib2Life is the collection with the biggest number of digital objects within Restitutio. The collection info documentary resources encompasses digital objects relevant to researchers who study the domains of bibliology and information science. We applied the method of document analysis in order to identify the aforementioned collections and the way in which the digital object is presented and accessed by the user. Restitutio facilitates access towards the document, by presenting it in PDF format, thus it represents an innovative support tool, adapted to the digitalised society.
