Summary/Abstract: This article presents the social engagement of New Bulgarian University (NBU) as an integral part of its institutional philosophy, implemented through social policies and innovative projects. It explores the university’s care and support for “different” students within the context of higher education. The article outlines the key principles of social responsibility in higher education, as well as the role of knowledge and innovation as drivers of change and social inclusion. Special emphasis is placed on the project “Video Modeling for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)” – a scientifically grounded and socially significant initiative developed within the university
