Summary/Abstract: The provision of Art. 183 of the Civil Procedure Code, although seemingly clear, creates a number of practical problems, examined in the report, such as: is there a deadline for making the request for the presentation of originals; what is the relationship with the request under Art. 193 of the Civil Procedure Code; should the request be motivated; should it be taken into account whether the original of the document presented in copy is in the actual power of the opposing party to the case, in the possession of a third party, exists or has been lost; what is the difference in the different certifications, when should the court give an instruction and does the court have the opportunity to assess whether or not to grant the request in case of doubts that the same constitutes a "procedural tactic" and leads to the conclusion that procedural law is being abused
