Summary/Abstract: Social educators in the Czech Republic have undergone a significant transformation, culminating in the legislative recognition of their position among teaching staff in 2025. This milestone not only elevated the profession’s status but also highlighted the urgent need for systematic professional support, given the demanding nature of the role both professionally and personally. Within the project “Enhancing the Quality of Social Educators’ Work in Schools,” case-based seminars were introduced as a platform for sharing experiences, self-reflection, and exploring new solutions. A survey conducted among 77 social educators revealed that professional support is perceived as essential, particularly for newcomers. The most common motivations for attending these seminars included exchanging best practices, building networks, and finding effective strategies for complex situations. Data analysis confirmed the seminars’ positive impact on participants’ emotional well-being, supported by statistically significant improvements in mood before and after sessions. The profession’s challenges are most evident in time demands and social engagement, while physical strain is rated as less intense. Despite these pressures, social educators view their work as meaningful and fulfilling, although issues of prestige and fair financial compensation remain unresolved. Based on these findings, a sustainable model of case-based seminars has been proposed, complemented by additional support forms such as supervision. The study clearly demonstrates that professional support is a critical factor for stabilizing and advancing this profession.
