Summary/Abstract: This study examines a number of graphic works by well-known foreign travellers - draughtsmen, painters and lithographers. Established at some point in the ports along the Danube - Galatzi, Braila, Giurgiu or Turnu Măgurele - before and immediately after the signing of the 1829 Adrianople Peace Treaty, they were both artists and keen observers of Romanian realities in the first half of the 19th century.
