Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a history of the Tulcea Art Museum, marking 75 years of local museography. It highlights the stages of the museum's establishment, from Grigore Cuculis' initiative in 1949, to historian Gavrilă Simion's efforts to consolidate the collections, to the museum's official opening in 1972 and its relocation to the Pașa Mansion in 1982. The study presents the evolution of the museum's heritage, which includes approximately 8,000 items (paintings, sculptures, graphics, decorative art, icons, and engravings). Special attention is given to the renovation of the building between 2008 and 2012, the modernization of the exhibition circuit, and the expansion of cultural and educational activities. The work pays tribute to two emblematic figures in the museum's evolution: Ștefan Găvenea and Ibrahima Keita, who contributed decisively to its development. The exhibition and editorial activities are also presented, as well as the museum's involvement in the artistic education of the public. Temporary exhibitions, the "Adopt a Painting!" and "Art from the Warehouse" projects, national biennials, and educational workshops are eloquent examples of community involvement.
