Summary/Abstract: Since 2008, Daria Averchenko has been a driving force in the development of Ukrainian documentary filmmaking at the Docudays UA International Human Rights Festival. She is a member of the Selection Board and the director of the festival's Communications Department. Daria is one of the screenwriters and producer of the films "Ukrainian Sheriffs", "Editorial Office" and "Volcano". And in the summer of 2025, she tried herself in a new role as co-author of the large documentary exhibition "Kherson. The Steppe Holds", which opened in five halls of the Mystetsky Arsenal in Kyiv. We asked Daria about her path to documentary filmmaking, her impressions of the new experience of working on the exhibition and, of course, about her native Kherson.
