Summary/Abstract: The essay begins by outlining the meanings of the concept of person, view in the larger framework of a discussion about prototype sustained by the writings of St Theodore the Studite. Then it considers a few biblical characters from this very perspective. As for the choice of the biblical characters, the author has opted for those who appear in the prayers of the Holy Sacrament of Marriage – estimating that they will assist in revealing the relationship between the human being and the aforementioned prototype on one hand and the spiritual consequences of this religious attitude for one’s family life, on the other hand.
