Summary/Abstract: The feminine representation has known numerous twists along time and literatures. Francophone literatures have equally encountered this romantic disruption of the status of the character, especially in the present days. This study starts from thematic presupposition and it analyses the place of the woman in the Quebec, Algerian and Russian francophone novels. We also focus on the questioning of the notion of heroine as it enters the age of suspicion. Absent and disaggregated in the uncertain foyer of a myriad of impressions, the francophone heroine is surrounded by nothingness. As she has lost the status of character, she remains the object of the story and thus, subject to the rest of the characters who shape her in their own ways. Between existence and non-existence, while being, the contemporary francophone heroine becomes a shadow of herself.
