Summary/Abstract: Public safety is one of the fundamental pillars of any rule of law, and the arms and ammunition regime is a strategic area for preventing and combating the criminal phenomenon. The possession, use and trade of weapons requires rigorous control, given the high potential for danger they present when used improperly or illegally. In this context, the investigation of crimes related to weapons and ammunition becomes a complex process, which requires both a well-defined legal framework and investigative procedures adapted to new forms of crime.
