Summary/Abstract: Changes in the labour market are taking placein an extremely dynamic manner and are influenced bya number of factors. Among them, a key role is played bytechnological progress, which is one of the main drivers ofthese transformations. The literature draws attention to itsprofound impact on the functioning of contemporary labourmarkets, which is confirmed by the analyses of Kotlorz, whopoints out that accelerated changes in the labour market arethe result not only of globalisation and economic integrationprocesses, but also of the intensification of technologicalprogress, especially in the area of information and telecom-munication technologies and in the context of new strategiesof large corporations. The role of organisational progress, inked to technological developments, is also noticeable.Technological advances, including digital transformationsand the fourth industrial revolution, undoubtedly havea fundamental impact on the transformations taking placein labour markets. The mechanism of interaction betweenmodern technologies and the labour market is multifacetedand includes both changes in employment structure andbroad civilisational transformations. The purpose of this ar-ticle is to review the literature on the impact of technologicalinnovation, automation and robotisation on the labour mar-ket, and to present the results of our own empirical research. On this basis, the article attempts to assess the changes tak-ing place in the Polish labour market, taking into account theimpact of widely understood information and informationtechnologies. The analysis covers possible variables that maysignificantly illustrate technological changes that affect thestructure of the labour market in Poland.
