Summary/Abstract: In the current context marked by uncertainty, accelerating socio-cultural changes and increasing demands for individual adaptation, young people and adults face a variety of identity, existential and relational challenges. Existential crises are defining moments in personal development, marked by fundamental questions about the meaning of life, identity, purpose, and values. These crises, although often perceived as periods of confusion or suffering, play an essential role in psychological maturation and in shaping an authentic perspective on one's own existence. Existential crises should not be seen as insurmountable obstacles, but as opportunities for growth and reconfiguration of personal identity. Cognitive schemas can be both sources of vulnerability and resources for change, depending on how they are recognized and managed. By promoting self-knowledge, resilience, and social support, young people can transform existential crises into turning points beneficial for their long-term development.
