Summary/Abstract: Enterprises consistently pursue performance, which in recent years has become increasingly challenging to attain. Within the context of economic, financial, and social globalization, the concept of performance has acquired a broader meaning, encompassing sustainable outcomes not only for shareholders but also for employees, while simultaneously ensuring environmental protection. Against this background, performance management has evolved into an indispensable instrument, serving not merely as a mechanism for assessing performance but equally for its effective governance. The existence and continuous development of a comprehensive performance management system at the enterprise level represent a significant competitive advantage, as such a system constitutes the foundation for achieving sustainable performance in the medium and long term. Accordingly, performance management may be conceptualized as the essential framework for attaining and sustaining organizational performance.
