Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the current state of socio-economic rights as a key element of the international human rights protection system. It traces their evolution from declarative provisions to legally binding guarantees within the framework of the “generations of human rights” concept, encompassing civil, socio-economic, collective, and digital rights. Special attention is given to the effectiveness of their implementation through the interaction of national and international systems, social policy, and monitoring mechanisms — including international treaties, UN committees, the ILO, and the European Court of Human Rights. The article examines examples of monitoring and individual complaints, as well as the adaptation of human rights mechanisms to global challenges such as pandemics, conflicts, migration, climate change, and digitalization. International practice confirms the universality and interdependence of socio-economic rights, which require a comprehensive and balanced approach.
