Summary/Abstract: Entrepreneurship is pivotal for economic diversification in resource-dependent developing economies like Algeria. This study examines Algeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through Isenberg’s (2011) and Koltai’s (2016) theoretical lenses, aiming to dissect its components, pinpoint theoretical-empirical gaps, and propose enhancements. Using a qualitative methodology, literature review, document analysis, and stakeholder interviews, it reveals advances in policy, funding, culture, and human capital, offset by deficits in early-stage financing, coordination, and regional equity. Findings underscore legislative inconsistencies and urban-centric support as key barriers. The study advances ecosystem theory by testing model relevance in a developing context, while offering policy recommendations: integrated frameworks, private sector engagement, and inland infrastructure development. It bridges theoretical and practical domains, enhancing understanding of entrepreneurship in emerging markets.
