The Mediating Role of Risk Tolerance between Entrepreneurial Vigilance and Entrepreneurial Behavior

Summary/Abstract: This research aims to diagnose and analyse the mediating role of risk tolerance between entrepreneurial vigilance and entrepreneurial behavior. The research relied on a descriptive approach to define the concepts of entrepreneurial vigilance, risk tolerance, and entrepreneurial behavior, in addition to an analytical approach. The research community consisted of graduating students from four universities in central Algeria. A convenience sampling method was used to distribute questionnaires to 1,300 students, with 1,110 questionnaires accepted after screening and processing. Structural modelling was used to analyse this data using AMOS26 software. The results of the study concluded that risk tolerance is positively and directly influenced by entrepreneurial vigilance, while at the same time making potential entrepreneurial behavior more achievable in the field. The research results also help to understand the decision-making mechanism of entrepreneurs, facilitate the formulation of entrepreneurship policies, and promote the development of entrepreneurial vigilance and entrepreneurial behavior.
