Summary/Abstract: In Republic of Moldova, increasing attention is being given to create an inclusive learning environment as part of democratic educational policies. However, this process faces difficulties and resistance. Inclusive classrooms provide opportunities for interaction and the development of values, but integrating children with special educational needs (SEN) is challenging and requires preparation. School adaptation is particularly difficult for children with disabilities, and a lack of adequate support can lead to maladjustment and integration issues. The stress of schooling is exacerbated by external pressures and difficulties in interactions between typical students and those with SEN, potentially leading to tensions and social exclusion. Teachers play a crucial role in preventing bullying and fostering group cohesion by promoting respect and collaboration. School adaptation involves behavioral changes to meet educational demands, but this period can last longer for students with disabilities. Although three key areas support inclusion—school environment, curriculum adaptation, and support services—many questions remain regarding the effectiveness of this process and the necessary solutions.
