Inclusive social protection for persons with disabilities (pwds): Bangladesh perspective

Summary/Abstract: The study's overarching goal was to collect data on how Bangladesh's individuals, households, and communities influence disabled people's ability to participate in social protection services. This article gives a rundown of the current social protection system in Bangladesh. It suggests specific legislative requirements that may be built and implemented to make life better for individuals with disabilities by increasing their participation in social protection programs. In light of these findings, it is clear that more comprehensive and inclusive social protection policies and programs are essential for the well-being of Bangladeshi adults with disabilities. People with disabilities did not demonstrate a higher propensity to enroll in social assistance programs, even though they should have. As part of their selection criteria for cash transfer programmers, Bangladesh's social protection system should consider including disability status. They should also think about introducing interventions that are unique to disabilities.
