Summary/Abstract: This text revisits the Slovak National Insurrection (SNP) on its 78th anniversary, focusing on the overlooked participation of Romanian anti-fascists. Drawing on archival materials and testimonies, it highlights the contribution of Romanian volunteers—former POWs, soldiers, and partisans—who joined Slovak and Soviet fighters against fascism. Their involvement illustrates a shared European resistance and underscores the moral and historical significance of transnational solidarity during World War II.
