Summary/Abstract: Between December 13–15, 2024, Iași became an important center of historical memory through a series of events organized by the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes and the Memory of the Romanian Exile (IICCMER), under the title “Alternative Ends of Communism in Romania.” On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the 1989 Revolution, the events brought together historians, writers, filmmakers, and the general public in a collective effort to reflect on the past and the post-communist legacy.
